Matted, somewhat dull-looking full yellow with a touch of gold. Nose doesn't show much except some modest ripe citrus and alcohol, which even at 11.0%, is too much for the feinherb style to work successfully. And the concentrated palate reveals this is the case, being loose and alcoholic. Decent pungency here, though, which possibly hints at the trocken style having been the original goal. Probably kept too long, despite the sweet-fruited finish. Merely quite good.

Petrol ginger nose. Medium weight. Pleasing finish that barely gives impression of residual sugar at this age, though perhaps a bit honeyed. Not particularly complex, but pleasant and well balanced.

Good bit of juice. Just entering its drinking window? Broad and wide on the palate with enough acid to keep it interesting. Not my favorite vintage to be sure. Almost entirely primary.
Will wait ta few years before I have a go with another one

My bottle. Screaming nose of minerals and lime, cool slate. Airy and crystalline. Unfortunately, to me, the palate isn't as good - somewhat fuzzy and unfocused. Good flavor profile of lime, slate. Cool and crisp. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 4/6, Finish - 4/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 14.5/20.

This is a stunner. Mesmerizing pure Mosel fruit with pungent aromas of citrus and apple skin, hints of sponti and vine, floral, and slate and sand. Beautifully sweet in the mouth with zippy acids and a full delicious swallow. Another home run for W-K.
