There's quite a bit of meat and gunpowder when you first splash this in the decanter. After some breathing time there are notes of burnt fig, dark chocolate, black olive, Indian spice and tar. It is sweet and vinous in the mouth and there's plenty of savoury nuance. Structural elements are still supportive.
