  I'm actually rather taken with this wine. Red fruit, leafiness, cedar, smoke, and pungent spice shine through on the nose. Palate is earthy and very tasty with black fruit, leather, and a pleasantly bitter edge that stands up to strong flavors without becoming overbearing. Strong but very fine tannins back this all up. This is a food wine, and it's a very nice one.
