  • JB @ 28-50 (28-50, London): Mid to full garnet. Quite fat and full. Very smooth and full and rounded, a little lactic, a touch of thyme on the nose and a density of fed fruit. Surprising density here without seeming artificial. As it warms up, texturally it seems very fat and ripe and glycerin-rich, not unlike a mature Chateauneuf. Lovely old Pinot, sweet fruited and soy to beef stock nose though. Very nice but possible a tad too easy. Lacks a bit of finese and complexity for me. Very smooth though. ****
