  Wonderful wine in a great spot right now. Deep color, complex nose. Spicy bouquet of dark fruit, cassis, cedar, tobacco, vanilla. Very ripe fruit, very balanced. Long and silky finish with a sweet aftertaste. In a blind tasting I might have guessed this to be an Almaviva, very similar profile.

  A smooth designerwine of lesser interest. I don't know why these wines get so high scores as they are quite uninteresting wines. This one is - as suspected - massive purple in colour, massive and sweet aromas of blackcurrant, coffe and vanilla, and massive taste with smooth tannins and good acidity that seems a bit artificial (added?). Sweet aftertaste like blackcurrant juice. Lacks complexity and elegance. If newer editions of this wine follow the same path, the prices are ridiculous.

  Very dark, almost black colour. Decent scents of oaks, is this Bordeaux?
  Good structured taste of wood and beautiful integrated tannins. Very very long and great spicy finish. 92-93

  Vallée de Millahue, 6 types de sols, assemblage de Carmenère (68%) et de Cabernet-Sauvignon. Un nez complexe, la Carmenère est dominante mais elle est juste tempérée par le tout jeune Cabernet planté en 2006. Les fruits rouges sont cuits au four mais on a une belle fraîcheur végétale, sans pyrazine qui pointe son nez ! L'amplitude thermique est cruciale dans la région. Une rondeur étonnante en bouche, qui fait penser au Merlot. Les tannins sont encore légèrement amers (mieux maîtrisés en 2010 nous dit-on) mais c'est un bon vin du Chili assurément, le prix est tout de même très élevé.
