{screwcap, 13%, A$12} Mid yellow with some green. Youthful nose of wax and white flowers, lanolin. Slightly greasy texture, although there is some underlying acidity. Has a kind of pepperiness to it as well; there is a blend of grapes here including Arinto, Chardonnay, Rabo de Ovelha and Vital. Wow. And yet, tastes like a weak blend of gargenega and gruner veltliner. There's no oak here, rather a sort of grape-skin quality that seems like it's going to resolve into faint tannins but never quite does. The flavours are a bit bland; it's like sucking rocks and stainless steel, it's light-medium bodied but dry, with a short finish that seems fairly even along the tongue. Something to drink with shellfish, I suspect. Not interesting enough to be a repeat buy.
