Tasted blind. Clear, deep lemon in color, with some golden hues. The nose is clean, with developed aromas of sour apples, lemon custard, butter, burnt match, and some oak. The palate is dry, with medium acidity, medium alcohol (13%) and a crisp, stony minerality on the medium (+) finish. It is light to medium-bodied with medium (+) flavor intensity and a smooth mouthfeel. It could have been a Mondavi Fume' Blanc but ultimately the minerality and earthy notes should have been clear Pouilly-Fume' markers. Drink now, although it has the potential to be enjoyable for a couple more years.

Shared this with a friend. A great value for under $20 from the Loire. It features lovely sandstone and shale-like minerality. It is also a little more flamboyant than some, more mouth-coating than piercing. Lots of structure, great texture...totally agreeable.

Fairly strong grass, pine and lemon. Good acidity and minerality. Drink now.

Solid Sauvignon Blanc. A bit short of acid for my taste but still quite solid.

Mouthcoating, and with the flavor of a lemon tart, though quite dry. Really nice.
