Well done for the pricepoint. Very textbook, although a little flabby given the vintage. More appeal for American drinkers. 2011 is a good crossover vintage for the Loire. Very ripe, with a dulled sense of terroir. In any case, being American, I enjoy the richness. Lots of gooseberry, anise, asparagus. 13 percent abv here which is higher than previous vintages. Round mouthfeel. Medium body without the tart acidity of previous vintages.

Dry and on the tart side, but with distinct character. A decent wine that is defnitely different.
