Sitting in the cellar a little too long but... color was a translucent auburn garnet. Smelled a little funky/earthy/garrigue-y at first smoother red fruit nose later. Still a pretty simple sweet-ish creamy strawberry but the age puts a little tiny bit of tobacco-pepper in there in the middle. Med finish. Pretty pleasant since I thought it would be dead but it has handled time pretty well.

Surprisingly fresh and still delicious. Ripe pinot fruit with a nice earthiness, though one-dimensional (fruit from start tothe medium finish). Will keep for awhile longer, but not getting any better at this stage.

Wine was ready for consumpstion. Had a nice fruit and even balance but was fading on the finish and starting to turn Strawberry color. Nose of rose pedals but not long on the finish> drink up now

I don't get it. If you want a smooth fruity wine why not just buy a Merlot or Cabernet from Napa and drink it young. The raspberry and other fruit a little too present for me to enjoy a Pinot Noir. That said the wine is extremely well structured and smooth and polished with a layer of complexity that if you like fruity Pinot this wine will score very high....I will take my other two bottles and keep for awhile and see if terroir develops and fruit integrates and become less intrusive for my palate.
