Popped and poured with grilled turkey burgers, then finished off the next night. Aroma of green apple and minerals. Taste has some of the green apple, but not as tart as expected. Good deal of acidity on the mid-palate to finish.

Northern Michigan Wine Tour 2012; 7/8/2012-7/11/2012 (Leelanau County, Michigan): Tasted at the winery then bought a bottle and drank it. First of all, I really think that LFC does no wrong. This wine has my heart. First, it's a wacky blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and a smidgen (less than last year I'd guess) of Traminette from Old Mission Peninsula and other parts of the county. This smells exactly like chenin blanc (think good sec tendre Vouvray) and has a taste that follows that. LOVE IT. Slightly more aromatic (flower bouquet, but only a suggestion of it), ripe yellow (chenin-like) fruits. Great acid structure and less sweetness than last year (still in the model of good sec tendre Vouvray). Unattractive label.
