Garnet color. Medium body. The wine opened up after twenty minutes in the glass, showing itself to be well-structured but young and raw. Earthy (clean, wholesome earth, not "barnyard"), with a mixture of red and black fruits and notes of tobacco and cloves. Some tannins, especially on the finish. Despite ideally needing more time (try again in 2015?), this stuff went down easily and quickly. Definitely built to last.

NEEDS SOME TIME! The nose is red apple skins - a clear indicator of its Beaune terroir - that transforms after a few minutes in to red fruit with barnyard aromas. The palate is primary fruits, but this is a wine I expect to considerably improve over time.

Served double-blind, enjoyed over the following 3 hours (#4). Very primary on the nose, more so than I would have expected from this vintage. But that's a good thing, I think, as it portends a good future. Nowhere near ready on the palate, this shows come good structure and purity of fruit that will likely have this drinking well in 8-10 years, perhaps wildly so given its affordability (~$45). No something I would seek out unless it were to procure one bottle and forget about in the cellar for a decade with the grand hopes of being pleasantly surprised. Better than even odds on that gamble.

Still seams to be a bit underdeveloped. Nice potential, light to medium body. Try again in 2021.

Very light color; Nose has some barnyard and cherry jam. Really nice flavor profile and a good finish. Very enjoyable.
