Didn't take formal notes - on fence that bottle (tasted from magnum) was corked, but fine to drink so very mild cork taint if any. Dark red color with slight meniscus. Tobacco, black cherry, mushrooms, pencil lead and bell pepper (or cardboard?).
NR given potential cork taint.

Decanted for 3h. This one has quite a powerful aroma, pungent earthy funk. Some spice and heat too. On the palate just a strong expression of abundant red cherries, methol, forest floor, and wood chips (like after you soak them and put them in a smoker on the grill). The cherry has a hint of acid for balance, but the tannins are subliminal. A fun ride on the tip of your tongue, the wine makes you swirl and ponder. Hats off to this, my last bottle from the case. I think this at peak, but I can't say how much longer it might last.

A very nice surprise. Ruby colored with amber at the edges. Peaked after 1 hour of air. Blackcurrant, roses, leather, and spices. Surprisingly, lots of fruit evident. A medium-bodied affair, with a nice smooth edge to it. Tannins well-balanced, low/medium acidity. Medium finish. This wine is at its peak but there's still some time left (?1-2 years).

Decanted for 1h, lots of forest floor and red fruit, a nice earthy Bdx approaching the end of its drinking window. Still delicious, but perhaps just starting to fade? With grilled filet and asparagus.
