  • P&P. Side by side with a 93 Talley Rosemary's pinot. No comparison. This swelled as the Talley faded in the glass. Excellent nose of baked black cherry and earth - what I associate with a classic Chambolle profile, and the palate was deep and rich, especially for a 97. As a basic villages, this didn't have that extra dimension or site definition, but really quite good. This is singing now and will be for another 5 years or so, but I'd drink up. Outstanding.

  • Nose: Dark cherries, ripe raspberries, forest floor, hint of green peppers. Really nice, fruited nose. Palate: Smoke, gravel, blackberries, crisp acid on the attack. Good balance and structure is on display on the mid-palate. Sweet cherries linger on the medium finish. Lots of fruit still alive gives me the sense that this pinot is in its prime.
