North Willamette Vintner's Wine Trail Weekend; 4/9/2011-4/10/2011: A bit too 2006 for me. Soft and mild deep fruited aromas. This goes to large fruit on the palate, showing rich, soft fruit. Nice spice on the finish, but really no complexity. All it shows is some decent fruit, but no acid to keep it together. Feels flabby.

The nose is jammy and forward with big red fruit. Smells pleasing. The red fruit on the palate shows a bit of richness, also a nice herbal spiciness shows on the mid-palate. Hot finish, high ABV shows through and over-powers the finish. Some light tannin and acidity is left over in the finish. Structurally intact and tasty, just a bit hot on the finish for my taste.
