Notes of spice, oak, red fruit, strawberry, and underwood on the nose. Rich mouthfeel with quite ripe fruit, more strawberry, and a slight jammy quality on the palate. Nice finish. The nose is classic Burgundy, but the palate feels a bit more showy and almost New-World-y. Still a very nice wine.

A fantastic Burgundy! The 2002’s Grand Crus are finally coming to a drinkability window. Aromas of Feral/Sauvage, Forest floor/damp earth, Oriental Spice, green herbs and oak. Very characteristic of Echezeaux/Grands Echezeaux earthiness. Palate was an elegant style; not weighty. Good acidity and cherry/berry fruits. Still fresh; despite some amber tinges on the color. I believe this wine has arrived at it’s peak.

Wow! Lots of barnyard funk on this burgundy but what a burgundy it was. Such a powerhouse and a privilege to be drinking it. Long finish, strong red fruit but layers and layers of mineral in it. Beautiful wine

Cherry, black cherry, smokey grilled meats and Oak, iron, and good food acidity. It seems like it just entered its ideal drinking window.
