Amazing nose. Leaps out of the glass. Leesy, nutty and highly complex. This wine is rich and voluptuous. Love the texture and mouthfeel. Classic Lalou power and finesse wrapped into one seamless wine. Long and persistent finish. This wine is a blockbuster.

Five Decades of Leroy (Charlie Bird): Nose has light honey over white flowers and white rubber. A certain stalkiness. Palate is delicate up front and crescendos into a rich Chardonnay mouthful. Textured and mouth coating. Cool spearmint. Weightless palate that delivers big power. Laser focus and precision. Again, this is a special and unique bottle.

Nose is wonderfully expressive, clean and pure, big with a restrained power. Pronounced minerality in addition to the rich Batard-like reductive Chardonnay butter. Class and elegance. Palate balances expansive mouthcoating and rich yellow flavours with a weightless and precise finish. Great acidity focuses the otherwise opulent mouthful with snipeshow precision. A youthful cashew butter nuttiness. Banana cream. A very special and unique wine. Bottle 089 of 292 goes down in sensational fashion.

Burgundy night in Scottsdale (Scottsdale): Only 292 bottles produced--which makes me very sad. This was outstanding. Beautiful freshness and detail. Oily, citrus and wonderful nuttiness. Lithe. Big but not heavy. Long, sleek and lingering finish. A real treat.
