Nicely aromatic. Dark red in glass. Bright red fruit flavors, cherry and pomegranate. Refreshing and lively. Nice acidity, integrated tannins. Medium finish. Very nice.

Big wine! Lots of great fruit, with enough (lots) of oak to balance it. Maybe even give it some extra depth and power. Lovely wine at this age. Caution; if you're not into judicious use of new oak, stay away. But I loved it. I can imagine this lasting another couple of years at this level.

At 9 yrs old this wine still has a purple hue. This, combined with a high glycerine content, appropriate amount of fruit, and quite a bit of tannic tightness remaining, tells me that it is way too young to have peaked. It has all the earmarks of a quality low 90s wine so I will save the first of my 3 additional bottles for at least another 2-4 yrs before revisiting.

I've had multiple bottles of this vintage. Weirdly one was somewhat over oaked, and off-balanced. The others like this one have been very good wines. Nicely balanced, without the over oaking.
This bottle has mellowed tannins, with good fruit. Nice balance of earth, dark fruits, and velvety tannins. I can't explain the bottle inconistentcy I have experienced with this vintage. It's odd, since This vinery is generally very consistent.

Subdued ripe berry, boysen- or black-. Short finish. Soft tannins.
