100% Chardonnay including ⅓ from Mareuil le Port and ⅔ from Ludes.
Precise and lively palate with a big minerality coated in a textured juice despite the 0 dosage. It is precise, lively and at the same time deep with beautiful flavors of jasmine which add to the chalk and salinity. The wine is tense and can age for many more years. Nice finish on mineral salts with a great trailing length.
Very beautiful champagne!

In the end, this wine is focused and taut with pungent saline and chalky minerality, and its strong acidity somehow feels balanced but not by fruit or dosage - I don't know how it works here. But it is in balance. And it is vibrant and energetic and expressive and maybe this is the bottle that makes me love Bereche the way everyone seems to love Bereche. But this is in the end, as the first hour this wine showed oxidative and almost but never entirely blowsy, and more rich than balanced. I think this is an excellent wine and if drinking now, go slow and let it open up. But if I had more, I'd wait another few years.
