Tastes like a cooler climate Mourevedre as opposed to the more highly extracted wines like this that come from Paso Robles. A well made wine but for me it's more of a starter, simple wine as a prelude to somethingmore serious. For contrast, try a more highly extracted Mourevedre from Thacher & you'll see what I mean. I also prefer this grape blended in a GSM rather than single vineyard as I usually find it too much of a fruit bomb.
