Took to dinner. This big, juicy wine would be better as a cocktail than dinner wine. Could also benefit from more time in the cellar. We enjoyed it but difficult to add notes as it just overpowered the dinner.

Yakima Valley Maiden Voyage Tasting Tour!; 11/14/2012-11/18/2012 (Yakima Valley AVA, Naches Heights, Snipes, Horse Heaven Hills, Red Mountain, Rattlesnake AVAs): Bounding aromas with ripe berry fruit, freshly tanned leather, sweet toasted oak and loam. Big and dense palate with chewy dates, dried cherries, earth and leather. Widely tannic from front to hind palate this needs some time to soften. Drink 2014+
