The fruit was still evident, but had mellowed. Some eucaplytus and spice on the palate as well. The tannins were completely rounded. It was a nice bottle of wine, although clearly a bit less than its sisters were as consumed over the years. 89 points

A: Very orange and clear. Some soapy like substance on the top of the wine. N: Smokey macerated strawberry, cinnamon vanilla cupcake. Strawberry rhubarb pie. T: Tart berries lighter than the nose. Not a lot of tannins but enough. F: Long blueberry and red apple skin. Woodsy Overall: Little bitter at first. Really opened up with time. First real old Biale we have had. Absolutely beautiful. V: 4/5
