It pours a translucent dark ruby color with expansive aromas of dark berries, violets, roasted meat, dried herbs balsamic and mint a bit of balsamic mint. On the palate, it’s on the lighter side of medium bodied, structured, and harmonious with juicy acidity and fine grained well-integrated tannins. It shows juicy blackberry, red currant, ripe boysenberry flavors with a very appealing minerality, and satisfying finish. 13.5% abv. Gorgeous wine that's in a great place now!

This is really starting to show well, starting to show some secondary characteristics (*). This is very well balanced with a tension between vibrancy and crunchy and dark red fruits and higher register herbal notes and mint vs. the subtle gamey qualities and dark chocolate with dusty earth.
I wish I had more of this, because I think this is going to also be interesting in five years. I think the CT drinking window to 2022 is too narrow for well-stored bottles. If you've got a few, pop one open soon and see what you think, as it is drinking beautifully now.
* Kept since purchase in 2013 in good, but not ideal conditions. Always dark, but temperatures ranging seasonally from the mid-50s to mid-upper-60s F. So the aging here should be a bit accelerated vs. an ideal 55F cellar.

I now see why Mouvedre is the heart and soul of the Panopali and Espri. This is a great wine . Cork was perfectly preserved, like so many TCV wines. Deep red color, no oxidation. Great dark fruit. Long finish. A real keeper.

"Flank & Plank" night with plank salmon and flank steak. This wine paired nicely with the salmon with the red fruits, light spices and low tannins.
