Dark purple in color. Notes of blackberry, cassis, and violet. Dry, med body, smooth tannins, med acidity. This wine was way to jammy for my liking. Drank over a couple of days hoping it would mellow. Do not see any comparisons to old world wines, love the elegance of elderton Shiraz’s but not this one.

Appearance: clear, deep ruby, with legs and petillance
On nose : medium+ intensity, black fruit : black berries, black currant, eucalyptus, pencil box, vanilla oak, some black pepper spiciness. Very complex and pleasant.
On palate : dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ flavour intensity, medium and round tannin, black fruit on front palate, but a bit hallow on mid palate, medium+ alcohol with bitterness and savoury aftertaste. Medium+ body with medium+ finishing.
This is a good wine anyway, the wine started to decline and flattened after 3 hrs. As a Barrosa Cabernet Sauvignon, it gives you great enjoyment and it is quite similar to St Julien but not as elegant as the Bordeaux. Still I enjoy with pleasant and drink comfortably.

Broadbent Vinho Verde, Port, Madeira: Pure blackcurrant juice! Slight menthol/eucalyptus (pyrazines) and green olive. No overt oak influence. Black and blue fruit. Pure varietal cab! Medium plus body, elevated alcohol 14% (actually 14.5), elevated acid and medium tannins.
Very nice! Score: Around 9

Pleasant bouquet of black berries, beautiful ruby color. Powerful and full-bodied yet well balanced. With a long albeit not that complex finish. Pairs perfectly with steak and spiced sauce. Will buy again"

Juicy and luscious black fruit. Slightly herbaceous. Long finish and very delicious. Easy drinking and approachable.
