Pale yellow in color with alluring aromatics of dried apricot, Asian pear, magnolia flowers and raw almonds. This wine has an elegant, silky mouthfeel on the palate which quickly transitions with bright, mouthwatering acidity that lasts several minutes. There’s a faint creamy lemon curd note on the back palate which ties it all together. Quite a Meursault from what is otherwise regarded as a poor vintage. I’m a fan.

Pale colour. Exotic flavours with apricot, peach and white flowers combined with citrus flavours and a strong mineral core to keep it all in check. Rich and quite long but not buttery. It does live up to its great vineyard pedigree - nice!

Chardonnay Shootout: Burgundy vs New World, Double Blind (Booth One - Chicago IL): Double blind in Chardonnay New World vs Old World shootout. Moderately ripe orchard fruit with slightly sweet spice and a bit oaky to start. Incorrectly identified as New World as we initially went through the flight, but an hour later this lengthened and harmonized, coming across as more classically Burgundy.

Beautiful minerality. Clean apple and pear. Just wonderful.

Some Wine Tasted Watching the Chicago Air & Water Show (Chicago, IL): Tasted twice over 2 hours. Opened 30 minutes in advance, given my prior bottle. Good apple and pear aromas and flavors with good weight, better length, and even better minerally textures.
