Genot-Boulanger wines, both whites and reds, feature a smoky, and stony mineral note, and this wine is no exception. It does not have the high-pitched intensity of the 2010 or the floral notes of the 2011 Bouchères, but this wine is sweeter and more mineral-driven, and that chewy saline minerality wants you to keep coming back. Very enjoyable to drink, and in a category of its own.

Light color. The nose shows clean aromas of citrus, minerals, white flowers and a hint of oak. This is medium bodied on the palate with decent concentration and good class. The medium plus length finish features a saline note.

Nice texture and energy, with lime citrus notes. Not particularly complex or long, but this may surprise with time in bottle. Intriguing enough to follow how it develops. (Superior to '12 poured alongside which was rather soft.)

La Paulee de NY - Verticals Tasting (Rainbow Room - NYC): Tasted at large walkaround tasting. lighter profile than the others. still nice, but not as much depth there. finishes acidic. lacking body.
