Fresh, relatively austere, with lime on the nose, and an underpinning of papaya; dry with pronounced but not overwhelming acidity on the palate, and something of a mineral character. Nice enough, but not really my style.

(Nigl Riesling Senftenberger Piri) Very light yellow color; focused, very tart lemon, tart grapefruit nose; tasty, very dry, mineral, tart lemon, tart grapefruit palate; medium-plus finish
(Nigl Riesling Senftenberger Piri) ($38.00) A beautifully textured Riesling; raw silk; dark and dark-green flavors but with a redeeming grace and secret-sweetness;angular, slinky and resinous, herbal, yellow-iris; intricate minerality; it’s the first of these ‘11s one could call lovely. +
