popped and poured as an end of night cleanser...all fresh apricot and soft citrus marmalade - a bit of lemon, a touch of lime - with time it shows a little pear as well as a touch of sweet almost crystallised ginger. Served quite cool so the lusciousness of the sugar levels is not jarring. Long. Deeply pleasing. Yum.

Coravin fun - Alsace, Loire and Random French (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Apricot, honey, smells rich and ripe, a little marmalade, sweet spice, medium plus intensity acidity, lusciously sweet with similar flavours to the nose, a little lychee here as well, all travel very long. Very good indeed.

From Coravin. Ripe pear, orange marmalade, sweet spice, slight touch of lychee, honey, a little leather, clove. Sweet but the acid balances well, the flavours are very much as per teh nose and there is a little cats tongue texture on the mid palate. All travel long. Nice.

Annual Coravin blitz - day three (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Ripe baked pear, cream, slight vanilla, a little cinnamon and apricot jam. Mint. The acid sugar balance is slightly out here lending a slight burnt toffee, raisined fruit. Hmm

SLDS July 2015: Coeur de Tries bottling. Golden colour. Lifted nose with lime, rose petals, orange, spice and lychee with honeydew melon as well. Very good balance, nice acid profile gives it a tangy element. Vibrant and complex. Delicious.
