More cherry picking to ascertain the relative drinkability of my cellar
Wonderful wines, incredible consistency across these four
just a couple here
just stumbled across these and thought it best to taste them together
very nice
the Trimbach has faded quickly, the Sipp Kirchberg de Ribeauville can keep it company
A few more victims to add to the drinking list...
1985 Marc Brédif Vouvray
France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
From Coravin. Aromas of lanolin, honey, slight lemon, bees wax, a little lemon peel. Juicy, rich, honeyed, a little glycerol fatness to the mid palate, very slight texture, all travel long, tangy finish. Very good indeed.

2001 Marc Brédif Vouvray
France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
From Coravin. Lemon, bees wax, slight lanolin, clay, umami notes, honey. Medium plus acidity, lemon, honey, slightly buttery almost, mid palate burr, waxy texture, long, very long in fact, that tangy note to the fruit again. Very good indeed.

2008 Marc Brédif Vouvray
France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
From Coravin. Lemon, a touch of bay leaf and waxiness, there is an underlying savoury quality here as well as a little minerality and honey on the nose. Acid lends juiciness, touch of lemon, textured mid palate grip, waxy breadth, tangy, long, really good.

2012 Marc Brédif Vouvray
France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Vouvray
From Coravin. Lemon, bees wax, a little sweet spice, richer on the nose than the others wines in the bracket - tending towards Savinnieres territory. In the mouth it's juicy, super tangy with lemon citrus underpin, textured grip, waxy, fresh, long, a little honey on the finish. Glorious.
