Rich, deep, with caramel and lemon, more like a Tokay or even a TBA, but that’s the vintage showing. This is sweet, decadent, super bright yet heady, filled with toffee and power. Terrific but I think these are better finished sooner than later.

Great wine to end an evening. This was really singing (CT window ending in 2014 is too short). Paired with a few desserts, but esp loved how it went with a butter cake - the cake bringing out the sweetness and the wine bringing out the fuller body of the cake.

1990 Bordeaux (Piccolino, Exchange Square, London): No formal note. Deep golden colour, marmalade, stone fruit, full bodied and rich, with moderate acidity and an extended finish.

Chicago Wine Flock...Blind Tasting Reserve vs Regular Wines ("Chateau La Grange" - La Grange IL): Tasted double blind. Easily identifiable as Sauternes. Very dark color. Creme brulee, dried apricot and some ripe tangerine. Lots of botrytis. Very tasty.
