I continue to love this wine. Really an 88-89 but I love it a little more. Hard not to dive right in but an hour or more of patience and will power is rewarding.

Familiar flavors and smells are identifiably "Puzelat" and "Pineau d'Aunis" in nature. What's left, I guess, is how this particular vintage stacks up. Pretty well, actually, despite all the horror stories. There's less funk on the nose than usual, I think, and the flavors are slightly more straightforward but I don't see these as necessarily negative characteristics. I like this; it falls into the enjoyable "little" wine category. I'd be a continuing buyer as long as the price remains modest.
On day 2, unfortunately, the fruit was all dried out and a good deal of Brett (which I didn't notice at all on day 1) had come to the fore. It wasn't worth finishing the bottle.

Light, lively, fruity and piney. Red fruits, mostly strawberry. Delicious and interesting.

I absolutely loved this. Funky, quirky, oddball. And better than the 2012. Great expression of Pineau d'Aunis.

Some tomato, some red fruit, and tobacco...just wonderfully funky Pineau.
