  • PopnPour, tasted over 3 hrs
    -semi-translucent dark red/purple, reminiscent of a trousseau
-interesting, moderately aromatic, distinct pepper, slightly green herbal spice/pine, red berry
-med acidity picks up to med+ with air, good concentration on lighter weight, some orange/citrus, earthy red berry and rhubarb, fine grained but somewhat rustic tannins
-interesting and pleasant, excellent, some similarities to a trousseau and strangely enough to Arnot-Roberts' Legan PN, drinking well now, structure suggests some aging potential

  • Amazing what a difference a year makes. Considerably less interesting than the 2011. Not sure if was the vintage or age but not as interesting. Still good, but makes the '11 stand tall.

  • Very pale. Smoky strawberry aromatics. Light, tart, dusty, herbal and short. As much as the Baudry rose tasted like a red, this resembled a rose! I must say that every time I taste one of these, my overwhelming reaction is "Why bother?".
