WSET Level 4 Course - WSET School; 9/6/2014-5/23/2015 (WSET School, Bermondsey): Appearance: The wine is Clear with a Deep Ruby colour. Nose: The nose is Clean and Fully Developed, showing Medium(+) intensity primary aromas of red cherry, red plum, blackberry, black cherry, black plum, secondary aromas of smoke, toast. Palate: The wine is Dry in the mouth with a Medium level of acidity. It has Medium Firm tannins and a Medium Level of alcohol (13.0%). It has Medium body and Medium intensity primary flavours of blackberry, black cherry, black plum, red cherry, red plum, secondary flavours of smoke, toast. The finish is Medium. Overall: Medium sort of wine. Lacks structure, concentration, complexity or length. This is well made and has good balance between fruit, acidity and tannin. The primary and secondary flavours are starting to integrate – could do with a bit more integration. Conclusion: It is a Good quality wine. Drink Now; not suitable for Ageing or Further Ageing. Can age for another year for some better integration but this lacks the structure and concentration for fruit to develop any further. ; Mid-Priced(£ 9.29 )
