Another great effort by Matt Cline - delicious now, at peak and no risk anytime soon. Great fruit, structure and balance, tannins mellowed since my last tasting ~5 years ago.

This is the last bottle of several - I have been a fan of Matt Cline's for some time, enjoying what he did with Trinitas and now 3.
This bottle is really nice, pouring a clear deep garnet color, approaching maroon. It has a complex nose, with each inhalation bringing a little something different. Upfront is the fruit, with scents of plum, cherry, blackberry - intermingled with the fruit is vanilla, some oak, and honey. The wine tastes as it presents to the nose, and is full and off-dry. The level of of alcohol is quite high, at over 15%, but the wine does not reveal that fact. The highly tannic wine is well structured and drinks nicely with a medium to medium long finish.
Overall, I am really pleased with the way this is drinking right now. This is much better than I recall the previous bottles I already consumed.

A delicious wine. The richness and fruit of Grenache and but the weight and acidity of Cabernet. Great acidity and smooth medium light tannins. It's drinking well in April 2016. Had with charcoal roasted balsamic rack of lamb.
