Drinking very well. Petrol and slate we’re predominant, somewhat oxidized in color but it did not detract from the enjoyment of the wine. Wish I had more.
PnP at cellar temperature. Pours medium gold, showing its >4 years of bottle age. Some Sauternes-like qualities on the nose, including honey, beeswax, braised pears, petrol, and apricot. Full-flavored on the attack with beeswax, honey, and orchard fruits coming forward. A drying acidic streak kicks in on the midpalate, giving the impression of honeyed pineapple and neatly concealing the 2.4% RS. The acid dwindles heading into the finish, which becomes increasingly complex with honey, beeswax, and dried fruits persisting for a while.
This is in pretty stark disagreement with some recent notes that said that this wine had diminished sructure and was past-peak. This bottle was drinking well, possibly at peak. Worth a shot if you can find it. "Excellent," 91/100.

Medium(-) lemon, watery rim and no discernible legs @ 11% abv. Medium(-) aromas of petrol, yellow apple, dried apricot. Dry, medium medium(+) acidity, medium (-) alcohol and medium body. Medium flavors of ripe yellow apples, grapes, lemon, apricot. Elegant and delicate fruit-sugar-acidity balance. Good length with slight touch of fruit-/sweetness in finish. A good riesling.

Dry Riesling wines (Houston, TX): Not very dominant on the nose, with apple, pear and apricot flavors on the palate. Off-dry with medium acidity and some smoky minerality at the end. Decent wine, but lacking the complexity of similarly styled German Rieslings.

Boerne wine club - New York: light varietal flavors, but the complete lack of any acidity left this a bit lacking.
