Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 87 points

  • The cork was half-soaked. We decanted the wine for one hour before we poured the first glass. I offered blackberry, blueberry, plum, black cherry, black pepper, cocoa, vanilla, some liquorice, some tobacco and some vegetal notes on the nose. On the palate the medium- to full-bodied wine showed intense black currant, cherry, black pepper, cocoa, vanilla as well as hints of liquorice, tobacco and vegetal notes, paired with medium-level acidity, medium-plus fine, ripe tannin, notable heat from the alcohol and very good length. The wine still was rather tight and only started to open-up after about 90 minutes. 90+ points for the time being, with some mid-term potential.
