  • Drinking very well right now. Velvety and well integrated. Has quite a lot of sediment, so stand up bottle some days in advance of drinking.

  • Concentrated and expressive on the nose - plums, spices, tobacco, hints of smoky oak, but also notes of alcohol. On the palate again a little warm, spicy, plummy, notes of cherries, good acidity. Good depth and length, but a bit on the heavy side. 88-90

  • This bottle was a present from F&F, enjoyed once at their house with excellent food...casual but with some depth. Looking for something to drink with my chicken piccata and carbonara at home...PnP, drank over an hour

Dark ruby color, mild separation. Nose of dark fruits and ....Rich palate of bright cherry, crushed strawberry, medicinal red fruit, floral notes, cedar, tar... Good secondary flavors, sweet through the mid palate. Medium weight and finish. Tannins present but softened. Mild heat bit not too bad...

This is in a great spot right now, should drink at this level for a while. Did much better over the time we drank it. Really hit stride at an hour+. Did great with the food, would be fine on its own...great QPR if it is still ~$25. At this price its a great everyday wine that can be cellared for a bit - a surprise to the upside...:)
