Ripe and full-bodied, with firm and rich flavors of dark plum, blackberry and mocha. Displays a luscious creaminess, with concentrated dark chocolate notes and a well-spiced, muscular finish. - WS’s blind tastings.

One of the top producers of Portuguese red as I understand. From a magnum and decanted and poured. This was a totally fine wine. Very drinkable. Went well with the meat course we had where the pork rub spices seemed to exist in the wine as well. Expensive compared to French wine and reasonable compared to Napa. Dark fruits. As someone else mentioned quicker finish. And at the end of the day fairly one dimensional. It was not a wow or something I’d actively seek out, but I’d happily drink it again. Certainly better than the bottle of Portuguese red I had earlier in the week.

Tasted at The Wine Society's Portugal tasting, London. Dark maroon colour. Rich nose, but not so much depth. Smooth, light style on the palate. Long finish. Tasted alongside the 2014, which was slightly more expensive, but for me superior to this 2010.

Riche et costaud, on sent l`extraction.
Prunes confites et cassis avec
des tannins serrés et une
finale longue sur la chauffe, un brin sucré aussi.

Needs more time. Just drinkable now. A bot on the high side of oakiness. Would try in 5-7 year.
