Opening nose is prune and dark rasin. With a high proportion of acid over tannins. More blueberry comes late and tannins start to balance with acid. One of the best popcorn with cheese from Parma wines of late.

3/17 - I waited too long to drink these. They were buried in my cellar. Once I got over the prunish notes (in aroma and in flavor), I could detect dark chocolate cherry cordials. May not be a bad thing that I waited so long. It's given this wine a unique flavor and texture.
3/19 - Update: 2 days later and it tastes even better. I had vacuumed it after the first tasting. This wine may not be for every taster, but I like to peel the layers of an old wine to find its hidden treasures. Texture is creamy, with a lot of sediments in the bottle. I had to let the last glass rest before consuming it. It's also more fruity tonight.

Medium to dark purple with thin clear rim. Dirty plum and black licorice with dark cedar. Palate is dry dusty rasin and prune.

Medium to dark purple with a medium rim. Rasin and old plum with a tobacco and earthy finish. Fine for quaffing , not too complicated.

Very easy drinking and smooth. Not a 92 but good with BBQ. Pork in a ginger marinated. Gone early in the evening
