  • Drinking at its peak. Pnp. Brick red colour, on the nose, iron, earthiness, soil, plum and modest mushroom, on the palate, it still held pretty good fruits and acidity, purple plum and berries, with strong soil/mineral sensation and spices into finish. After openin for 5-6 hours, the wine faded quite a bit, finish was much flatter, it is performing at its peak in my view

  • This was quite nice and in a good place for current consumption. This was off a restaurant list, but if I owned any bottles I'd target drinking them in the next 18 months or so. There was some fine sediment, so maybe stand the bottle up for a day or two before serving.

  • Quite notable cork taint on first opening, was markedly less noticeable (if still detectable) on returning to it a couple of hours later. Quite an opulent nose (after the Fourrier) of red and black cherry fruit, vanilla and some spice and a slight shiff of cork taint. Quite plush on the palate too with soft, integrated tannins, generous ripe fruit, hints of spice, and a good length if slightly stripped finish. A shame as this is a lovely village wine and is still going strong.

  • A good village wine. Medium red fruit and a bit of spice. Drinking well; should hold, but not sure there is much upside.

  • Attractive, clear, bright with medium/deep ruby core and pale garnet rim. Seductive perfumed red fruit on the nose, spice and just a hint of earth. Gently perfumed strawberry fruit on the mid-palate, spice and just a touch of creaminess, integrated tannins, good density and reasonable depth, lovely bouncy, tangy acidity and good grip on the medium/good length finish. A lovely, well proportioned village wine, seems to be just entering its peak.
