superbe bourgogne qui est à maturité. Sans être d'une grande complexité, c'est équilibré et très agréable à boire. La texture est velouté et le nez envoutant. Nous sommes dans les fruits rouges qui sont matures et débordes de saveurs.

PnP'ed... after '69 Cheval Blanc, '98 Cheval Blanc & '09 Pape Clement. Similar to the last bottle just a month ago, beautiful aromas of plums, forest-floor, dark-berries, meat & smoke soared from the glass without any coaxing. Even on the palate, this held its ground against the 2 Chevals - better than the '69 whose fruit is more on the receding slope already, and almost comparable with the '98 in terms of fruit-density/weight. This was just so delicious!

Popped, and stood in bottle for ~1+hrs prior to serving. Upon pouring, the bouquet burst and soared from the glass almost immediately without any coaxing. Wow, quite intoxicating, with dark cherries & mushrooms mixed with notes of forest-floor/sous-bois. This had quite an opaque (and even cloudy) appearance - again, what followed on the palate more than matched that of the nose. Dark-red berries, meaty with great power/weight/concentration nicely balanced with very good freshness. Quite "majestic"... and delicious as well! Looking forward to trying it again in the future to see where/how this develops...

TM Mazoyeres vs Charmes Dinner. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of dark deep forest floor sous bois, dark red cherries, suggestion of animal meat. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium+ tannins, broad medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark animal meat, savoury sois bois forest floor, dark red cherries. Very long savoury finish with saltiness. Very very good quality. Lovely prime drinking Mazoyeres. Could still go a few more years also easily.
