  First impression... muddy appearance, lovely complex fresh Burgundy aromas, oak enveloping fruit, suggests still youthful. Palate... whoa, meaty minerality. Savoury, medium to light bodied, good solid flavour, umami, iron.

  Floral, delicate and smooth with candied fruit, coffee beans, cinnamon and brown sugar. Better length than his 07 Charmes on the side. Lovely.

  Beautiful wine. Notes of deep red and blue fruit; Asian spice; forest floor;... it's all there. A little bit of funk as well, but the fruit and mineral characteristics really show on the palate. Nicely crafted bottle; something to muse over. Will hold my other two a few more years.
