  • Second bottle. Something went wrong here. The nose reminds me very much of a peach pitty minerally Alsatian Vendanges Tardive, which initially carry through to the palate at which point a grainy sweetish chardonnay flavor emerges with considerable length. Girardin's 2008 white burgundies are absolutely first rate, but then again, everyone has that clunker every once in awhile.

    One day on the butterscotch thing that plagued some 1996 white burgundy comes into the picture.
