I drank my first 2011 Les Grand Charron from MB two years ago and the impression was at the top. Two years later, it seems some of its plentiful richness has left but nonetheless this is big bottle. At the right temperature a wonderful minerality appears with an elegant touch and some hints of hydrocarbons. Oak not evident, this Meursault magnifies the chardonnay grapes with a perfect balance of elegant fruit and stone, with almond and anice over all. In a hot afternoon at Chiavari and the following day back to back. Drink up, will not get better

straw yellow in the baloon, this meursault is comparable to a Premier Cru. It shows a perfect blend of notes of stony minerality, somehow hydrocarbons, citron, delicate anice, gentle almond. Oak only in the far background, very elegant and discreet. Very long finish. A small producer who surprises for its maniacal precision in taste and armony. This 2011 in its best drinking window. In hot but windy thoughful evenings and nights at Chiavari Riviera

White and Red Burgundy-Mostly 2010s and 2011s (Beltramo's, Menlo Park): Some sulfur and hazelnut. Medium weight but good texture. Wood pretty much dominates from start to finish. Good acidity. Really very little interest in the mouth beyond wood toast.
