White Burgundy 'mis en bouteille par Les Vins Jean-Claude Debeaune, Romanèche-Thorins'; imported by Saranty, White Plains, NY; 13% alcohol; appears to be real cork, medium to heavy foil; fast legs, light yellow; nose of fruit & alcohol; full bodied, a complex white; appeals to sweet (front of the tongue), sour (sides), and back (no bitterness), medium finish; earth and fruit overwhelms; pair with hard & soft cheese; although I waited something like 7 years to open this white wine, it remains eminently drinkable, if anything better than before; I continue to be impressed by the quality of the 'White Burgundies' (Chardonnay) coming from the Mâconnais area of Burgundy, the Pouilly-Fuissé AOC, whose name is as hard to pronounce as the wine is excellent

Nice nose but light on the palate and a bit watery. This wine doesn't wrap itself around your tongue and talk to you, it simply says Hello. Would I drink it if served? Sure. Would I buy it again? No.
