  • The wine is clear and bright with a medium garnet colour. The nose is faulty (brett) and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of brett (leather), pungent spices (liquorice), dark fruits (dark plums), oak (coffee) and herbaceous (green bell pepper). The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium(+) slightly coarse tannins and a medium alcohol. It has a medium body and medium intensity flavours of brett (leather), pungent spices (liquorice), dark fruits (dark plums), oak (coffee) and herbaceous (green bell pepper). The finish is medium.

It is a poor quality wine. The fruit concentration and the finish are enough to consider it a good quality easy-to-drink everyday wine, but the inmaturity aromas (green olives and green bell pepper) and the brett notes (leather is not normal in a wine that young, despite the attempts of lazy winemakers to try to make us believe that Pinotage has leather aromas) are not making it an attractive wine. Drink now, it does not have potential for ageing, the brett will dominate with bottle ageing.

  • Had this at Amerigo with salmon. Delicate pepper balance but a flood of fruit with some body. Sometimes it was better than others.
