  Started out what I thought was over the hill. I gave it an hour and it really started to open up. Dark fruits, strong oak, and nice balance. Long finish too. This one has aged decently.

  Deep black raspberry along with slightly both integrated spices on the nose. Prior bottle was just over six months ago and the wine remains between medium and full bodied. Black raspberry and black cherry upfront and then solidly tart red cherry comes in behind along with added richness and very good tart acidity. Tannic structure and spices on the finish are better integrated that my prior bottle and should continue down this positive path. The wine has the fruit to last for awhile and as long as the acidity holds up, should continue to stay roughly at this level while it slowly integrates and rounds out further. Look for additional modest improvement in the short term and a solid plateau at this high level for a few years beyond.

  Strong black raspberry and spices notes on the nose. 14.2% ABV and medium bodied and while certainly fruit forward, came off maybe a touch more complete and clean then the 2009 from last night. Black raspberry at first, then moderated by black cherry and then some tart red fruit and lots more depth in the background. The finish is excellently integrated with the body of the wine which created a nearly elegant transition to the finish. While the nose suggested it, there was no jamminess to this wine, especially after being open for three hours. The structure and the spice component on the finish are seemingly coming together nicely and this wine should continue to improve over the next year or two. The tartness on the finish and the transition from the mid-body to the finish leave me quite encouraged about this wines future.

  Very nice. Great nose. Lots of nice tannin and fruit coming through. Had with dinner and, at dessert, paired with fresh sour cherries. The wine went to 11
