Cocoa, currant and graphite nose. Simple with light acid and chocolatey tannins. Not complex but what do you expect at 4.99. If you like malbec this is certainly better than barefoot red.

Although not totally a disaster, this one is a little short on flavor. It is very clean, so I suspect there has been some pretty heavy filtration. The flavor just seems to be missing. The color is typical dark red. The nose has that young feeling with molasses and alcohol with the black fruit. The entry to the palate is medium bodied, not particularly expressive, soft blackberry and black cherry fruit. Youngish acidity. Minimal oak or tannins. A little flat on the finish.
