Wonderful bottle. Definitively best Aligote ever. Aligote I had a few but this is a first class wine. Vintage adds a plus indeed. Very biscuity, Danish butter cakes on the nose with same echoes on the palate. It is not just delicious but harmonious. Sincerely can't understand Sutcliffe's comments...

A magnum decanted 30 mins before consumption. Clean straw yellow colour, with aromas of intense citrus fruits and chiselled minerality. Became more complex over next hour. Will drink over next 5 years (in magnum) easily. Don't drink this wine too early, as suppressed malolactic fermentation gives it immense, almost undrinkable , acidity to begin with. Ponsot drinks his whites only after 10-15 years!

Toasty nose. Hints of honey and some slight rancio aromas. Hazlenut and old wood shavings. Good acidity - quite rich and smooth. Lots of flavour. Good streak of minerality.

one bottle corked and the other a nice toasty old white that was appealing but not very burgundian as always
