2 of 2. Fairly dense, nearly opaque coloring with ruby at the edges. Aromas of darker fruits like blueberry, blackberry, and plum, along with soil, dark chocolate, and graphite. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of black fruit, dark chocolate, walnuts, and minerals. The previous "modern Bordeaux" comparison still holds in my mind. CT drink window has 2011-14, but this is drinking well right now and actually fine the next day after pouring half the bottle into a 375ml and popping in the fridge over night. I'd guess it's got a couple more years easy.

*Notes from ~1 hr. open in bottle/glass.* Dense ruby coloring; can see color through at the edges. Strong aromas of potting soil, funk, green pepper, and a strong graphite edge. Medium body and acid, long finish, and flavors of dark fruits, licorice, green pepper, and graphite minerality. Has a modern Bordeaux vibe. Pretty good QPR at $12.

Drinking much better vs. 1-2 years ago. Now's the time. Works as PnP, even better after 30min. Fruit more integrated, finish has lengthened, alcohol smoothed out.

Popped and poured. A little simple when first opened, but smoothed out over next 20 minuted.
Solid fruit that brightened up and smoothed out nicely.
Decent wine but not blown away
