Shows clearly as 2011 with bitter pyrazine notes. The underlying material is excellent (of course) but unclear how this will develop so will reserve judgment.

Domaine de Montille Vosne Romanée Malconsorts Lunch at La Paulée (1760 Restaurant, San Francisco): Magnum. Bright ruby. Again, green and peppery, licorice, and some harshness on the nose, although not as pronounced as in the regular Malconsorts. Lots to this, bitter chocolate, very tart, dry tannic finish. A clear step up from the regular cuvée, although I still am skeptical about its balance.

Translucent color. Intensity of flavor outstanding very mineral with a finish lasting over ten seconds. Like fresh red cherries and raspberries rubbed over limestone

Malconsorts dinner with Zachys crew - also 05 Truchot CC, 99 Selosse, 90 Jadot BM & etc. (Blue Duck Tavern - Washington D.C.): I have expressed my concerns regarding the 11 being similar to the 04. Certainly it is not as badly affected by LBT as the 04. This clearly displays LBT. It is a shame as it displays very good concentration and generous fruit. If you are sensitive to LBT, avoid.
